A huge number of high-quality mods for the rally simulator RBR are freely available on the internet.
Not long after the release of Richard Burns Rally (RBR), the Czech community provided a very stable online tournament platform on which online championships could be organized. They also provided a great tool, Wallaby, to create new rally tracks.
In recent years, the RBR community has provided over 200 new cars and many new rally special stages from all over the world.
However, installing and setting up these mods is a challenge. Not to mention finding the right mods on the internet.
And for these tasks, we are developing EasyRBR.
We want to make things easy for both beginners and veteran RBR players.
So no more endless internet searches for suitable mods, no need to move all kinds of files, and no need to modify configuration files yourself.
Our goal is for EasyRBR to perform all these tasks for you.
The car manager and track manager are completely finished.
We will continue to add new features in the future.
EasyRBR has an update system, so further updates are downloaded and installed automatically.
Below you will find a small installer that will help you install EasyRBR on your computer.
We do not recommend installing EasyRBR in the Richard Burns Rally game folder.
If EasyRBR has trouble connecting to the Internet, you may still need to install the 32-bit version of Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013.
Installer link from Microsoft: https://download.microsoft.com/download/2/E/6/2E61CFA4-993B-4DD4-91DA-3737CD5CD6E3/vcredist_x86.exe
Our advice is, to always make a backup of your installation before you start using EasyRBR.
If you have any questions, fill in the form on our website or leave me a message below.
Very cool! I’m having trouble with the program finding the RichardBurnsRally.ini file though, tried to install in default folder as well as a separate games folder to avoid the configs not saving issue but it won’t find it either way. Any ideas? Would be nice to have an FAQ for common issues too.
In what location did you install EasyRBR? The one thing you should not do is install Easyrbr in the Richard Burns Rally folder. So if you install EasyRbr outside the RBR installation folder there should be no problem.
And then I am assuming that the RichardBurnsRally.ini file is also located normally in the RBR installation folder, where it should be.
Hey, having trouble with the tracks.
I installed in launcher but they don’t show up ingame.
any help?
Sorry, I totally missed your message.
Did you press “Save & Close” in the track manager after installing the track?
If yes, then the track should be visible when using the Tournaments Plugin in Shakedown mode.
Thank you for constantly updating EasyRBR! If possible, can you also add 2004-2005 era cars like Peugeot 307, Mitsubishi Lancer WRC, Ford Focus WRC RS04?
You’re welcome!
Unfortunately, I can only add new cars once (new) NGP7 physics are released for those cars.
Congratulations on the v1.0. Well done!
Regarding the Fmod audio. I suppose can edit the volume in audio.ini? I find the engine outstanding loud in some of the cars.
Thank you! Keep on improving!
ps. I noticed there’s a typo ‘agian’ to be corrected in ‘again’
Oh, I see I can’t edit.
Would be cool to see some features, like the Co-driver mod from Leza, HD windshields from Leza as well, some dashes, like the coloured ones, etc.
So much to add.
I need to find the time to add these mods. But I will definitely take it into consideration.
Thanks Marius.
The ability to set the audio volume with each car is on the to-do list.
In the next update, the typo has been corrected. Thanks for pointing it out.
Awesome work, mate! Is it possible that the original Impreza 03 is missing from the list? I could only find the Kazhol version.
Thanks!
And yes, well spotted!
The problem at the time was that Kazhol’s 2003 Subaru WRC uses the same directory name as the original version. That doesn’t work together in RBR so I made the choice to use the Kazhol version. I’m not sure but I think RBRTM did the same. I would have to check that.
